Wormhole Classroom: how to take a class where ever you were

One of the most used products of the Wormhole platform is it’s virtual room, where thousands of people take classes and business training everyday, saving time and money in travel and commuting.

“This solution is chosen by a lot of independent teachers who want to open their work area”, Sally Buberman, CEO of Wormhole, said.

According to the executive, with Wormhole Classroom, depending on the type of membership, 60 people can take a class at the same time, where three teachers or students can broadcast audio and video simultaneously.

Teachers also are able to share documents and videos on the whiteboard, switching between their contents for each part of the class. They are also allowed to share their desktop to show any functionality of a new software they are using.

“Teachers and administrators can decide whether the downloading of the documents is allowed, useful for when they are copyrighted material. They can also record the class to share it later”, described Sally Buberman.  Another tool for online classes is the public chat between students or for participants to ask questions from the presenter. The chat can be activated for  the entire class or just for the Q&A time, totally controlled by the teacher.

“Our business is born from something missing  in online education. In Wormhole we believe that what is important is the interaction between students and teachers, so both get enriched by the experience”, Buberman explained. “Live Learning reproduces formal education, but we no longer have to depend physical location, saving money and time in travel, both for students and teachers”, she added.
