Discovery Paths: knowledge, talent development, and social learning

bluebottlebiz, the digital platform specializing in business knowledge, presented “Discovery Paths” at a roundtable event last week discussing social learning inside corporations.

(@americalearning) According to bluebottlebiz, Discovery Paths are short, interactive “knowledge capsules” that allow business professionals to improve their knowledge on a specific topic in 90 minutes or less. Each Discovery Path is comprised of a collection of chapters, videos, articles and/or other relevant content, selected and collated by a subject matter expert. bluebottlebiz considers Discovery Paths to be an appropriate response to the current context of knowledge development in organizations: they foster a collaborative learning environment wherein each individual can choose how to develop his or her skills.

Companies interested in Discovery Paths can use those already available in the bluebottlebiz platform, or they can create custom ones, with the option to include their own, proprietary content. Furthermore, Discovery Paths can be integrated into a company’s intranet or into any LMS that the company might already have in place, allowing them to serve as part of the company’s overall continuing education/training system. Business professionals can also access Discovery Paths by logging into bluebottlebiz.com directly, where they’ll find a complete library of business content (books, journals, videos, and more), a network of business experts, and interactive features and tools that help them get the most out of the platform and its content.

During this “Social Learning in the Enterprise” roundtable, it was announced that Microsoft has selected bluebottlebiz to join the Microsoft BizSpark Plus program, reserved for startups who are considered to have strong potential at a global level.
